Freeland Little League Opening Day is right around the corner. Here is some information on the upcoming activities:
Jerseys and Photos:
Coaches should be distributing team jerseys and photo packages soon, if they haven't already. Teams should have already been made aware of their picture day/time. Please have your child there ready and early as we do not want to delay the scheduled time slots.
Parade lineup will
start at 9:30am at the Elementary school parking lot. Please have your jerseys on. T-Ball and Coach Pitch teams will be towards the front of the parade followed by Minors, Majors and Juniors.
Parade
starts at 10:00am (players are asked to walk with their team and can GENTLY toss wrapped candy to spectators; coaches please try to make sure your players are being respectful).
Parade ends at the Junior baseball field where the "Opening Ceremony" will take place.
First games of the day start at approx
12:00 pm.
Concession Stand Volunteers:
We still need many of you to sign up to work the FLL concession stand. The stand will be closed any night that there are not enough volunteers. Right now, many nights do not have enough volunteers to open. Please sign up and help your Little League.
Sign up to work one or more 1.5 hour shifts. It is very easy and fun. Workers should be 13 or older. Talk to your friends and family and sign up to work together on certain nights. Workers must wear a hat. Send questions to Eric Gladwish at
