Volunteers needed!
On Sunday, October 20th beginning at 9am Freeland Little League will be tackling several projects out at the fields and volunteers are needed to complete the work. We will be constructing a new storage shed near the Minors fields with materials donated by Builders FirstSource and we will also be installing an artificial turf surface in the batting cages near the concession stand. Both projects are significant and will require as many volunteers as possible to complete in a timely manner. We would like to ask volunteers to bring shovels/rakes as we will need to move out all of the stone currently in the batting cages and distribute it to areas in need around the complex, we will also need to move a large amount of road base stone back to the batting cage area as well as a large amount of silica sand once the turf is installed. We are asking volunteers to also bring the following items out to the fields if possible:
- Brooms/Power Broom
- Drills/Screw Guns
- Hammers
- Levels
Again, these are both very significant projects that will benefit the youth in our community and we are in need of as many volunteers as possible. Please consider donating your time!
